Invitation
When you decide to use 247Toolset, a custom portal will be configured for your organization's use. You then use the system to invite those in your network to come and create a profile that describes their skills and willingness to become engaged.
Discovery
Need an event planner? Legal skills? A pickup truck? 247Toolset offers three methods to help you quickly find what you need: - Search by location
- Search by attribute
- Search administrator comments and notes
Searching by location lets you search within a radius of a given city. This powerful tool allows you to find people within an area and or a region, ensuring that you won't miss those matches just a few miles away in a nearby city.
When you license a 247Toolset portal, your people will create a profile of attributes that describes how they would like to be engaged to help you. The list of attributes is configurable and can be changed to fit your needs. When you search by attributes, 247Toolset quickly provides a list of matching individuals based on your selections, and you can drill into those results as narrowly as necessary - as you see below in the snapshot of our demo portal, Grassroots247.
There are two views for search results. The first is Descriptive (shown above), which lets you see the description given in the individual's profile.
The second is Comparative (shown below), which sets each of your matched results side-by-side for a dynamic attribute-to-attribute comparison.
Creating a chart like this for everyone in your network might take hours. 247Toolset allows you to do this in just seconds - for any search you create - and you can export it easily to Excel.

Choosing to allow others to search your network might amplify your organization's opportunities. 247Toolset comes with the option to open up your network to external and trusted partners, and if you choose that option, you can either display the names of the individuals in your network, or you can use the Anonymizing feature, which will hide the real names of those who are searchable. Once you find the right people, 247Toolset makes it easy to reach out to them by allowing you to send a request by email that outlines the opportunity you present.
Each recipient can choose to either get involved, or pass on it. If they choose to get involved, that's where the magic starts.
Engagement
When a person agrees to engage, wouldn't it be great to track the role that they played and the dates and times of their engagement? While you don't have to use this feature of 247Toolset to capture this information, it's there and what you can learn from it might help you better craft and target opportunities in the future to increase participation even more.
